The Cobb County Board of Commissioners invites you to attend an evening of pure celebration!
On December 3, 2007 a birthday celebration unlike any other will take place at the newly opened
Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center ( www.cobbenergycentre.com).
An evening of music, dance and high energy awaits the citizens of Cobb County. This evening will celebrate the extraordinary
talents living in or raised by
Cobb County.

September 12; 10:00 am. KSU professor and author Tom Scott will speak

- West Cobb Senior Center:
Thursday, October 4, 2:00 p.m; Photo and Art Exhibit inaugurates series
celebrating Cobb’s 175th anniversary. This series of activities,
Special People, Special Places, Special Times, will highlight different
areas of the County. This particular exhibit features our Shutterbug
Photo Club’s snapshots and our senior artists’ paintings and drawings
of Cobb County’s landmarks. Exhibit on display through November 2007.

- C. Freeman Poole Senior Center:
Thursday, October 18, 12pm. $5 includes lunch. Reservations required;

Cobb County’s 175th Anniversary and learn about the historic importance
of Glover Machine Works in Cobb County. Our presenter will be
Dick Hillman from the Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive
History.
- Windy Hill Senior Center:
Friday October 19, The Women of the Roswell Mill. $4 includes
lunch. Reservations required; call (770) 801-5320. Also, Smyrna
Historical Society and Smyrna Genealogical Society Museum will display
historical photographs pertaining to the Smyrna area October 1 –
December 1, 2007.
