T-Shirt Design Contest
In 2003, the 5K race committee decided to have a t-shirt design contest that would involve students from Cobb elementary schools. Students were asked to draw a picture that represents the Make-A-Wish 5K. The race committee chooses one picture to be used as the winning artwork for the front of the shirt for that year.
The student and their family, along with the school principal, are invited to attend the race. The principal is presented with a participation plaque for the school and the student receives a plaque with their artwork. An elementary school from different areas in Cobb will be asked to participate each year.
